Sacred Time is an app that helps Christians protect phone-free moments for prayer, family, worship, and rest by setting aside sacred windows of time and pausing selected apps or categories during those windows. This page explains what information Sacred Time uses, where it is stored, and what permissions the app requests.
Data stored on your device
Your sacred rhythms, sacred windows, app or category selections, and reflection history are stored only on your device. Sacred Time has no cloud sync, no user accounts, and no server-side database. We do not receive, store, or have access to this information.
You can delete all Sacred Time data at any time by deleting the app from your device, which removes all locally stored sacred rhythms, sacred windows, and reflection history.
Screen Time permission (iOS)
To pause apps during a sacred window, Sacred Time asks for access to Apple’s Screen Time permission (Family Controls). Apple designs this permission so that the exact apps and categories you select remain private — even from Sacred Time itself. We never see the contents of your selection; we only receive the system signals needed to apply and lift the pause you’ve chosen.
Sacred Time cannot guarantee that app blocking is unbypassable, and it cannot detect or exclude every possible emergency app. When choosing apps to pause, avoid selecting Phone, Messages, or other emergency apps — Apple’s privacy-preserving app selection means Sacred Time can’t detect and exclude them automatically. Pause, Step out, and Mark complete are always available to you and are never blocked or gated behind a premium subscription.
Sacred Time is launching first on iPhone. Android support is planned. Before any Android release, this policy will be updated to explain how Android permissions such as Usage Access are used.
Notification permission
If you allow notifications, Sacred Time uses them to send quiet reminders about upcoming or active sacred windows. Notifications are generated on your device and are never used for marketing.
No AI
Sacred Time does not use AI in the current app.
Purchases
Sacred Time offers an optional premium upgrade. Payment is processed by Apple through the App Store. Sacred Time may use a purchase-management provider to help determine whether premium access is active. We do not collect or store your payment card details. Subscription management and refunds are handled through your Apple ID account settings.
Children
Sacred Time is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

If this policy changes, we will update this page and revise the “Last updated” date above.
